Where Is Jesus?

Q. Why did Christ ascend to sit at the right hand of God? 

Christ ascended into heaven to manifest Himself there as Head of His Church,  

Ephesians 1:20-23 

• …which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 
• far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. 
• And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 
• which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. 

Colossians 1:18 

• And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. 

through whom the Father governs all things.

Matthew 28:18 

• And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 

John 5:22,23 

• “For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, 
• “that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
