What Good Is It to Know This?

Q. What does it benefit us to know that God has created all things and still upholds them by His providence? 

A. We can be patient in adversity, 

Job 1:21,22 And he said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” 22 In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong. 

Psalm 39:10 Remove Your plague from me; I am consumed by the blow of Your hand. 

James 1:3 …knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

Deuteronomy 8:10 When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the LORD your God for the good land which He has given you.

and with a view to the future we can have a firm confidence in our faithful God and Father that no creature shall separate us from His love; 

Psalm 55:22 Cast your burden on the LORD, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
