No Cruise Control For Christianity

There is no cruise control for Christianity.  Each day is a fight.  Daily we must look for the Lord's mercy that we might keep ourselves in the love of God (Jude 21).

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. 

That is: 

• In ourselves we are so weak that we cannot stand even for a moment.

Will You, therefore, uphold and strengthen us by the power of Your Holy Spirit,

1 Corinthians 10:13 

• No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; 
• but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, 
• but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, 
• that you may be able to bear it.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 

• Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; 
• and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
