He's My God

What do you believe when you say: I believe in God the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth?

  • That the eternal Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who out of nothing created heaven and earth and all that is in them,
  • and who still upholds and governs them by His eternal counsel and providence,
  • is, for the sake of Christ His Son, my God.
For the Bible Tells Me So...
Genesis 1& 2

Exodus 20:11
  • For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
Job 38 & 39

Psalm 33:6
  • By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
Isaiah 44:24
  • Thus says the Lord, “Your Redeemer, and He who formed you from the womb:” I am the Lord, who makes all things, who stretches out the heavens all alone, who spreads abroad the earth by Myself…”
Acts 4:24
  • So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: “Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them…”
Acts 14:15
  • …and saying, “Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men with the same nature as you, and preach to you that you should turn from these useless things to the living God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all things that are in them….”
Psalm 104:27-30
  • These all wait for You, that You may give them their food in due season.
  • What You give them they gather in; You open Your hand, they are filled with good.
  • You hide Your face, they are troubled; You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.
  • You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; and You renew the face of the earth.
Matthew 6:30
  • “Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?…”
Matthew 10:29
  • “Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will…”
Ephesians 1:11
  • In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will…
John 1:12,13
  • But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:
  • who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Romans 8:15,16
  • For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”
  • The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God…
Galatians 4:4-7
  • But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
  • to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
  • And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!”
  • Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Ephesians 1:5
  • …having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will…
Matthew 6:25,26
  • “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
  • Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? …”
Luke 12:22-31
  • Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on.
  • Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
  • Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?
  • And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
  • If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?
  • Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
  • If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?
  • And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind.
  • For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things.
  • But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you…”
