Away From Tyrants To the Shepherd's Kingdom

God's children ask their heavenly Father for the coming of His kingdom in the world and in their lives.

Q.  What does the second petition mean?

A.  "Your kingdom come" means:

Rule us by your Word and Spirit in such a way

• that more and more we submit to you.

Preserve your church and make it grow.
Destroy the devil's work;

• destroy every force which revolts against you
• and every conspiracy against your holy Word.

Do this until your kingdom fully comes,

• when you will be all in all.

For the Bible Tells Me So...

Psalm 143:10 — Teach me to do thy will, for thou art my God. Let thy good Spirit lead me on a level path. 

Psalm 103:19 — The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules over all. 

Psalm 119:5 — O that my ways may be steadfast in keeping Thy statutes. 

Matthew 6:33 — Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well. 

Romans 16:20 — The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.
