Can Genghis Khan Rescue Me From the Kingdom of Darkness and the Power of Death?

Why do I call Him my Lord?

Because He has ransomed me,

• body and soul,
• from all my sins,
• not with silver or gold
• but with His precious blood,
• and has freed me from all the power of the devil
• to make me His own possession.

For the Bible Tells Me So...

1 Corinthians 6:20  For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

1 Timothy 2:5-6

• For, there is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity - the man Christ Jesus.
• He gave His life to purchase freedom for everyone.

1 Peter 1:18-19

• For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors.  And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value.
• It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.

Colossians 1:13-14

• For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, 
• who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.

Hebrews 2:14-15

• Because God's children are human beings - made of flesh and blood - the Son also became flesh and blood.  For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.
• Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.
