Can Any War or Power Separate Me From the Love of God That is in Christ Jesus?
The "Providence of God" means that our heavenly Father upholds and governs all creation by His power.
What do you understand by the providence of God?
God's providence is
- His almighty and ever present power,
- whereby, as with His hand, He still upholds heaven and earth
- and all creatures,
And so governs them that
- leaf and blade,
- rain and drought,
- fruitful and barren years,
- food and drink,
- health and sickness,
- riches and poverty,
Indeed, all things,
- "Men, why are you doing this? We too are only men, human like you. We are bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made heaven and earth and sea and everything in them.
- In the past, he let all nations go their own way. Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy."
Proverbs 22:2. Rich and poor have this in common: The LORD your God is the Maker of them all.
Deuteronomy 8:10. When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the LORD your God for the good land he has given you.
Romans 8:38-39
- For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,
- neither the present nor the future,
- nor any powers, neither height nor depth,
- nor anything else in all creation,
- will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
